Hurt The Bad Guy & Get Away
Once you have been attacked your main objective is to escape with your life. In order to achieve this goal you must know
how to make a move that hurts (or injures) the bad guy so you can get away. Although hurting another person is not a pleasant thought it is necessary sometimes.
Be Prepared
To stay safe you must be able to move effectively in any self defense situation. The question is, do you know what to do? Think of what could happen if you were not prepared? It is not worth the risk!
The ability to protect yourself is a necessity, not a luxury.
Striking Targets
Your body has natural weapons that could save your life. All you need is a good instructor and a little practice. These natural weapons, when applied to certain target areas, can be effective in a very short time. Many bad guys are large, tough and maybe fit. Striking them ineffectively will not result in a good outcome. Just as the body has natural weapons, it also has weak points:
- Hair: Have you ever had your hair pulled? Ouch!
- Eyes: If the bad guy cannot see, he cannot fight you and he probably won’t win.
- Ears: Clapping or pulling the ear (using a palm strike) is very painful and will give you time to get away.
- Jaw: The only movable part of the human skull is the mandibular joint. Certain strikes to this area can cause dislocation of the jaw and even concussion.
- Throat: If the bad guy cannot breathe, he cannot fight you.
- Groin: Striking the groin is one of the most effective self defense tactics.
- Knees: The human knee is quite weak and can be injured easily.
