Weights & Weapons

This unique program combines weight lifting workouts with martial arts weapons practice.  Students may join this class just for the weights portion only if they choose to, but if you join our martial arts program, the weight training is a required!

During this class students will learn:

  • Barbell dead-lift
  • Bench press
  • Kettlebell lifts
  • Staff
  • Stick
  • Knife

Strength

Student strength will be tracked according to maximal lifts on the dead-lift and bench press.  Kettlebell exercises will be added to support strength development and increase functional strength and power.

Weapons

All weapons practice will be geared towards practical self defense.  Our weapons systems integrate with the 4 Corners Kickboxing & Grappling programs, as well as our Empty Hand Self Defense system.
