S.A.M.S Kids is an acronym that stands for Safety And Movement Skills. S.A.M.S kids is a pre-martial arts program for children ages 4 & 5 years.

The focus of S.A.M.S is on gross motor development/coordination, and elementary martial arts movements and postures.  The goal of the S.A.M.S. kids class is for the students to earn their white belt and graduate into the Youth Karate program.

S.A.M.S. classes focus on the building blocks for success in Youth Karate:

  1. Discipline: listening skills, waiting your turn, self control
  2. Respect: following rules, care for others safety
  3. Hand and Foot Skills: basic stance,  blocks, strikes, safe falling, and kicks
  4. The SAMS motto is “Always be Safe” – our skills are for the dojo only, not for school or home.
  5. Karate is fun! If we have discipline and respect then learning skills is fun and safe!
